On the 24th of February 2022, air raid sirens began to blare across the entire country of Ukraine. Russian president putin invaded a sovereign neighbor for the reasons we can only speculate. As the chaos descended, our small team of close friends quickly organized to help our other friends in Ukraine who were handed rifles and asked to defend the country. Most of the civilians in Ukraine had limited to no military training and desperately needed supplies and clothes.
Within weeks of the start of the war, an idea of Ukraine Liberty Fund was born. Our first funds came from our own savings as well as from some of our early donors. The very first mission, though very challenging, was a huge success. We purchased some basic supplies in Poland and shipped them to Ukraine.
Soon after, met many other likeminded people who jumped in to help Ukraine and were able to organize more structured logistics.
We are running a non-profit organization – Ukraine Liberty Fund. There are many of other nonprofits who are helping refugees, abandoned pets, etc. but we made it our mission to support those who volunteered to risk their lives for the Ukrainian freedom. We have also agreed that we will work directly with those in need and that we can trust to ensure accountability for every dollar.
Providing supplies to the local civilian volunteers in Ukraine who help deliver and distribute them to the most critical areas in the country to help defend its liberty and democracy.
Ukraine Liberty Fund does NOT engage in the provision of ammunition or weapons.
Our team is composed of all volunteers, including the founders. While the titles may describe what each of us does primarily, we are all working hard and together to bring supplies to the frontlines. We all share one goal – Help our defenders save our country!
